This is a song from the early 90s from a band called "Brown Bear Music" from Australia. They had it posted on the old version of
Mp3.com (back when it was the best website for unsigned artists). When I first heard it, I fell in love with it and contacted them and asked if I could cover it. They said, "Yes, as long as you credit us with the song." So, this is me finally getting around to doing that, almost 30 years later! My how time flies.
Anyway, what's even cooler is that I also really love another band from the 90s called "Atomic Opera." While I did sing it on the first draft, I felt it wasn't quite right for my voice and had been listening to an Atomic Opera album earlier that day and said, "Man....if I only I could get him to sing it..."
As I follow him on Facebook, I thought "what could it hurt if I reached out to him and asked if he'd be interested." So I did. And he was. He then asked me if it would be ok if he added some guitar, and of course, how could I say no? He's a great guitar player!
So that happened.
I hope you enjoy this song. This was definitely a major highlight for me while making this album.
